Operations supervisor 1

We are currently looking for a Supervisor for our evening Cash Logistics operations at our Sherbrooke branch.

Your responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and manage the work of unionized employees
• Ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, collective agreements and government regulations
• Act as a resource person for all employees in assigned territory
• Collaborate with other supervisors and staff members to establish and implement policies, procedures and goals
• Promote safe work practices by conducting safety audits, participating in company safety meetings and meeting with individual staff members
• Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets
• Lead investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints
• Work with internal or external stakeholders to determine the causes of accidents that occur during transportation and improve safety procedures
• Participate in the disciplinary or grievance process

Your Profile:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment
• Bilingual
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Possession of a firearms acquisition permit (an asset)
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and judgment skills
• Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
• Sense of urgency, exceptional communication and problem solving skills
• Strong critical thinking and active listening skills
