We are currently looking for Security Supervisors for new roles in Sioux Lookout. This role requires a security supervisor who has a keen ability to be professional, customer service oriented and manage a team of staff.  Staff management will be a focus and ability to interact on a professional level with key stakeholders is extremely important. Experience in a lead role is a requirement and a proven track record of ability to follow policy and handle pressure will be key factors in your ability to be chosen for this role. Attitude cannot be taught and a positive and engaging personality with proven ability to interact successfully with others will be paramount to your success. 

This role has a payrate of $22.00 per hour

What does a Shift Supervisor in Sioux Lookout do?

• Plan, direct and ensure the smooth running of operations at the client's site by utilizing onsite computer software and programs. 

• Assist in staff management and staff development. Ability to identify when staff need assistance or further management interaction is required. 

• Ability to manage staff in a unionized environment. 

• Maintain protection systems for fire, theft and other disasters. 

• Ensure the availability of emergency equipment and complete audits of onsite equipment each shift to ensure compliance. 

• Patrol, write professional reports and show professional and pleasant attitude for clients, staff and visitors to the site. 

Qualifications to become a Shift Supervisor in Sioux Lookout

• 1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills 

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to quickly and efficiently learn dedicated site security programs. 

• Valid security guard license and first aid card 

• Available to work flexible hours  

• Have a clean criminal record  

• Be eligible to work in Canada
