Operations Supervisor

GardaWorld Cash, an internationally recognized security company, is currently looking for an Operations Supervisor for its Cash Transportation division.  This role will have joint responsibilities in the Secured Transport and Cash Vault Services departments of the Sudbury branch.

Your responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with and provide leadership for employees on the cash processing and secured transportation teams;
  • Engage, motivate and develop employees on your team;
  • Plan, organize and manage the work of unionized employees;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by exceeding service level agreements;
  • Ensure that staff members comply with policies, administrative procedures, safety rules, collective agreements and government regulations;
  • Act as a resource person for all employees in the assigned branch and territory;
  • Collaborate with the manager and staff to establish and implement policies, procedures and objectives;
  • Implement action plans to achieve productivity objectives;
  • Participate in all process optimization initiatives;
  • Promote safe work practices, by conducting safety audits, participating in company safety meetings, and meeting one-on-one with staff members;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine the causes of accidents that occur during transport and improve safety procedures;
  • Manage expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets;
  • Conduct investigations, as required, in collaboration with internal or external agencies to determine the causes of off-balance and claims and to resolve customer or shipper complaints;
  • Participate in the hiring plan for new staff and provide ongoing training to meet workforce needs;
  • Participate in the disciplinary process or the settlement of grievances;
  • All other related tasks.

 

Your profile:

  • Valid Restricted and Non-Restricted Federal Firearms License (PAL: Possession and Acquisitions License);
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience, ideally in a unionized environment;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams;
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record;
  • Possession of a firearm licence (an asset) or willingness to obtain one;
  • Cash processing experience an asset;
  • Very good leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and judgment skills;
  • Driven by offering exceptional customer service;
  • Strong focus on teamwork and partnership;
  • Sense of urgency, exceptional communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Critical thinking and active listening skills;
  • Working knowledge of Workers Compensation reporting process.
