This job requisition is for the upcoming GardaWorld – Security Services Hiring Event for the CBSA Tactical Security Guard position. If you meet the minimum requirements, you will receive an invitation to attend our in-person Hiring Event on March 10th.

This is an exclusive, invitation-only selection process designed to identify top-tier security professionals. Candidates should plan to spend approximately 45 minutes completing the full assessment process.

During your scheduled session, you will complete mandatory in-person testing and screening assessments. Candidates who successfully pass all required evaluations will move directly into an on-the-spot interview immediately following the testing phase.

As a CBSA Tactical Security Guard, you will operate within a high-security federal facility, supporting access control, patrol operations, and emergency response. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to federal security operations, use-of-force standards, and crisis management, making this role an excellent launchpad toward careers in law enforcement, border services, or public safety.

Responsibilities for Tactical CBSA Security Guard

• Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility
• Escort individuals within the premises using restraints as necessary for safety
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress
• Observe and monitor detainee behaviour and report concerns
• Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors
• Utilize security software and equipment effectively
• Conduct frequent wellness checks
• Generate accurate incident and daily reports
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques

Qualifications for Tactical CBSA Security Guard

• Valid BC Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) - an asset 
• Advanced Security Training (AST) – an asset
• Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
• High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
• Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
• At least 1 year of experience in a security role
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
