You will be responsible for overseeing the care and containment of individuals held at the Immigration Holding Center. Pay Rate: Starting at $26.25

What to Expect as a Detention Center Security Supervisor

• Ensure the protection, custody, and control of medium to high-risk detained persons.
• Provide the guards with the proper assignments or posts.
• Utilizing methods authorized by CBSA for conducting searches of cells, detainees, and property.
• Communicate the shift briefing and procedures changes to the team.
• Provide support and initial/ongoing training to guards.
• Execute emergency evacuation protocols when necessary and make sure that the team understands them.
• Promptly notifying the CBSA both verbally and in written form following critical incidents or deficiencies.
• Conduct supervisor visits and audits of posts within the IHC.

Successful Candidate have the Following

• 1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment
• Applicants must be Permanent Residents or Canadian Citizens
• Valid BC Security Licence
• Standard First Aid (CPR and AED) is considered an asset.
• Advanced Security Training (AST) is considered an asset.
• Transport Security Clearance (TSC), RAIC, and Class 4 driver’s license are considered an asset. 
• Bilingual (French and English) an asset
