As a Transportation Station Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling to keep the environment safe.

Responsibilities for Transportation Station Security Guard
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to deter potential threats and ensure site security
- Monitor and secure all access points, ensuring doors are properly closed and not tampered with
- Manage access control and verify identification as required
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and security incidents
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to visitors, and staff
- Gather critical information during emergencies and coordinate appropriate response
- Communicate clearly with emergency services and security personnel when required
- Provide guidance and instructions over the telephone or in-person during crisis situations
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily logs
- Participate in ongoing training and demonstrate proficiency with security technologies and systems
- Remain on-site beyond scheduled shift when required due to operational needs (e.g., train delays)
Qualifications for Transportation Security Guard
- Valid Manitoba Security Guard License (required)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Strong customer service orientation
- Comfortable using technology and willing to complete required system training
- Excellent verbal communication skills, especially in high-pressure situations
- Strong crisis management and decision-making abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies
- Reliable transportation or ability to access site via public transit
- Availability for extended shifts when operationally required
- First Aid/CPR certification considered an asset
- Physically fit with the ability to:
- Walk and stand for extended periods
- Navigate stairs and large areas
- Work in varying weather conditions
