Weekend Retail Security Guard

We are looking for a Part Time, Retail Security Guard in Timmins!

What's in it for you?

• Act as a visual deterrence to theft and antisocial behaviour 
• Ensure safety of staff and customers
• Identification of shoplifters and those violating rules and laws
• Prevention of theft and recovery of stolen product through verbal intervention
• Coordinate response to incidents including medical emergencies

Responsibilities for our retail Security Guards

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents

Qualifications Needed:

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Ontario Security License
• First aid certification - Standard CPR/AED Level B
• Ability to stand and walk entire shift
• Proficient and confident verbal communication skills
• Comfortabable approaching and interacting with shoplifters
• Previous Use of Force certification an asset
• Verbal Intervention or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training an asset
