We are currently hiring an individual for the role of Absenteeism Coordinator at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

 

 

Absenteeism Coordinator

 

CLASSIFICATION:       Non-unionized

 

REPORTING TO:          General Manager, Performance and Training

           

JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the General Manager, Performance and Absenteeism, the Absenteeism Coordinator works with the Absence and Disability department to facilitate the Regional Attendance Management Program (RAMP) and contribute to attaining the regional goals with regards to absenteeism.

 

 

TASKS AND DUTIES

  • Managing the Regional Attendance Management Program by managing culpable and nonculpable absenteeism
  • Updating absenteeism, tardiness, no call/no show trackers to track meeting numbers for reporting and documenting purpose
  • Working closely with staff employees for continuous improvements in absenteeism within the organization
  • Managing and implementing disciplinary actions as needed and to ultimately reduce absenteeism according to the collective agreement
  • Conducting RAMP meetings with employees to discuss factors contributing to their absenteeism and tardiness in order to develop a plan to assist the employee to improve
  • Managing and updating Regional Attendance Management Program files
  • Assisting the Human resource3s Advisors in creating absenteeism action plan by analyzing absenteeism trends within the organization
  • Assisting with employee complaint investigations and meetings as needed by the Human Resources Advisors.
  • Assisting the Absence and Disability Advisor with return to work process, Workplace Safety Insurance (WSIB) and accommodation as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
     

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A University degree or College diploma, preferably in Human Resource, is required or equivalent experience1 to 2 years experience in Human Resources and Disability management
  • Demonstrate understanding of employment related legislation such as; Canada Labour Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ability to multitask and produce results in a fast paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility in schedule with the ability to work outside of regular office hours
  • Computer literate – with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint
