Account Director, Educational Institution

Our client, a prestigious educational institution, is looking for a dedicated Account Director to join their team.
 

Your primary role will be to provide leadership and site coordination as well as act as the liaison between management teams in addition to maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and service.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Manage a team of security professionals to ensure effective delivery of security services
  • Ensure all contract requirements are adhered to and that all security duties are carried out in compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal laws including: The Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property legislation
  • Manage a team of supervisors and guard level staff
  • Co-ordinate with the management team to schedule and book training for all staff
  • Ensure compliance with ministry standards and applicable governing standards
  • Evaluate and practice progressive discipline principles of staff
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the supervisory team
  • Develop strategies and implement objectives to improve service
  • Liaise and build relationships with community and stake holders to help foster community relationships
  • Maintain and organize the site training budget including bonus schedule
  • Act as the intermediary between GardaWorld management and Client Management teams
  • Manage and communicate KPI’s with Account Manager

What we’re looking for

 

  • Ability to deliver and implement initiatives and collaborate in a positive manner 
  • Strong motivational and performance skills in a leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to protect confidential information, maintain high professional standards and exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Excellent people and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to diffuse staff concerns and escalate to Account Manager as necessary
  • Develop positive and professional working relationship with staff
  • Self-starter with strong initiative as well as a demonstrated high-level confidentiality
  • High Level communication skills and the ability to coach and lead staff on an individual basis
  • Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks & responsibilities
  • Previous supervisory experience is necessary
