Account Reconciliation Clerk - YYZ - Toronto Pearson 1

Reporting to the Regional General Manager - Administration, the Account Reconciliation Clerk will be responsible for reconciling all payroll data between two systems accurately for billing cycles.

 

The Account Reconciliation Clerk possesses excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team environment. He/she has a cooperative attitude, a keen sense of analysis, superior team spirit and an aptitude for optimizing operational support.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to the following

  • Verifying and reconciling employees schedule with the integrated time tracking clock system
  • Assisting in the approval of employee’s time cards on a daily basis.
  • Investigating and resolving employee issues with payroll discrepancies
  • Assisting in the verifying reports from CATSA to ensure payroll sign off is accurate (ACL reports, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain an organized work environment by keeping accurate tracking and documentations of all payroll applicable transactions.
  • Ability to perform self-audits as well as team audits
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide follow-up, positive and constructive feedback
  • Detailed knowledge of collective agreement interpretation and application.

 

Education and skills required

  • Bachelor’s degree; accompanied with two (2) years of related experience.
  • University or College degree in Business Management or Auditing/Assurance is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook)
  • Computer literate- with strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite, in particularly excel
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data analysis and analytical skills
  • Good listening and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines while working in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with working within a unionized environment in a 24/7 operation
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
