Casual Security Guard - Retail Locations (GTA)

We are building a pool of Casual Security Guards to support multiple high-traffic retail locations across the Greater Toronto Area, including Scarborough, North York, Downtown Toronto, Vaughan, Etobicoke, and Mississauga.

While this is classified as a casual position, operational demands may result in consistent or full-time–equivalent hours, particularly during overnight shifts. This role is best suited for candidates who are dependable, adaptable, and ready to work as shifts arise, including extended schedules when required.

Your Role

As a Casual Security Guard, you will provide a professional and visible presence while supporting store operations, primarily during overnight hours.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a strong security presence to deter theft, mischief, and unauthorized activity
• Monitoring entrances, exits, and assigned areas as required
• Responding promptly and professionally to incidents or concerns
• Communicating effectively with site staff and supervisors
• Documenting observations and incidents through clear, accurate reports
• Adapting quickly to different retail environments, layouts, and site procedures

What You Bring

• Authorization to work in Canada
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
• Valid G driver’s licence and ability to commute between multiple GTA locations
• Flexibility to use public transit when parking is unavailable (e.g., downtown locations)
• Mandatory overnight availability
• Willingness and ability to work full-time hours or extended schedules as shifts arise
• Availability across a 24/7 schedule to support operational needs
• Experience in a retail or customer-facing security environment
• Strong communication, customer service, and de-escalation skills
• Strong report-writing skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer and technology proficiency
• Ability to stand and remain alert for the duration of assigned shifts
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing schedules
• WSIB Approved and valid First Aid & CPR certification is required
