We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to support our Aviation Services Logistics team in the Central (Ontario) Region.

 

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Specialist will be responsible for delivery of client and regulatory demands through control and implementation of the effective movement and storage of related information, deliverables, controlled items and documents. He/she will act as an internal partner, working closely with other departments to ensure that logistical and compliance efforts meet the immediate and long-term business needs.

 Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate distribution and completion of all performance evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Create, maintain and file performance evaluations as per contract requirements. Track and manage results using corresponding databases.
  • Communicate results of the performance evaluations consistently with concerning departments.
  • Deploy and manage programming to streamline and enhance operational responsiveness.
  • Support interdepartmental teams to manage deliverables.
  • Help improve operational inefficiencies and redundancies related to consumables and controlled items.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Maintain cost effective and efficient practices that are consistent with corporate guidelines.
  • Resolve any arising problems or concerns related to client, internal or external stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative and any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Report to Logistics Manager and assist reaching departmental and organizational goals.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations management.
  • Thorough understanding of Security Screening process.
  • Robust computer skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • High degree of IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data.
  • The successful candidate must obtain a government secret security clearance.
  • Proven track record in meeting deadlines and attaining results.
  • Strong data management and organizational skills.
  • Able to meet strict deadlines in a time-sensitive, fast paced environment.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing to individuals and teams.
  • Great team player and always sensitive to the organizational needs.
  • Deliver as promised and work diligently, in the best interest of all parties.
