Our client, a prestigious commercial office complex located in the heart of the downtown core is looking for a Control Room Operator to join their team.
This high-profile location conveniently connects our client and tenants to a vibrant downtown business community, an array of city-wide transit options, over 1,000 retail shops and services, major hotels, restaurants and world-class entertainment and sporting venues.
What you’ll be doing
- Record all radio calls and any request from phone calls into radio log
- Respond to emails, check meeting requests, and check briefing sheets
- Remove any expired permits for the work permit binder
- Set up staff schedule for the current shift
- Set up the morning emails
- Access control for the service level gate and back door of establishment
- Monitor elevators to make sure they are in service and communication checks
- Monitor cameras for suspicious activity from all personal in building
- Monitor the fireworks computer for any code reds, or maintenance alarms
- Send out mass communication system for all building related emergencies
- Review and export footage for suspicious/malicious activity on the camera system, including the elevator camera system
- Sign in contractors at the Building service center
- Check the permits for all contractors to make sure work is valid
- Dispatching guards for door access and contractor assistance
- Answer phone calls from tenants and contractors

What we’re looking for
- Excellent communication skills – English is required
- 3 years experience in the security industry
- Must be able to work nights and/or rotating shifts
- Valid Provincial Security Guard licence
- Strong computer skills
- Customer service oriented and professional
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
