Surveillance Security Guard

We are currently hiring a High-Profile Security Guard for a well-established retail location in downtown Toronto. This is a hands-off, front-of-house position that requires strong customer service skills, situational awareness, and the confidence to communicate clearly and professionally in a busy retail setting.

This role is ideal for someone who understands visibility, deterrence, and de-escalation — and who takes pride in being alert, engaged, and dependable throughout their shift.

  • Saturday & Monday: 09:45 – 19:00

  • Sunday: 10:45 – 19:00

Your Role

As a High-Profile Security Guard, you will maintain a professional and alert presence at the front entrance while supporting store operations through effective communication and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing a visible security presence to deter theft and misbehaviour

• Conducting receipt checks in accordance with site policy

• Issuing verbal trespass warnings when required, following established procedures

• Communicating clearly with supervisors and staff using on-site radio systems

• Supporting staff during incidents and managing customer line-ups when necessary

• Remaining stationed at the entrance throughout the shift and supporting opening and closing procedures

• De-escalating situations calmly and professionally when customer concerns arise

What You Bring

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification - required

• Experience in a retail or customer-facing security environment

• Strong communication, customer service, and de-escalation skills

• Professional appearance and reliable, punctual work ethic

• Ability to remain attentive and engaged for the duration of the shift

• Comfort enforcing site policies respectfully and consistently
