Surveillance Security Team Lead - Full Time

Responsibilities for Team Lead Security Guard

• Support operational requirements during incidents, major events, or other emergencies; assume responsibility for appropriate decision-making in critical situations and notify superiors and the Contracting Party as soon as possible
• Train onsite security staff
• Assist in planning major events and other activities taking place within the building
• Provide security guards with the necessary information to perform their duties in accordance with the Contracting Party’s instructions
• Monitor and, where necessary, coordinate resources during response situations
• Initiate only service calls that have been pre-authorized by the Contracting Party and, when applicable, obtain approval prior to any unscheduled requests. Ensure the implementation of required emergency measures and compile relevant information from involved parties
• Maintain communication and partnerships with other building departments, including maintenance, customer service, and tenant representatives
• Oversee enforcement of the fire prevention program, including hot work permits, and ensure appropriate follow-up during and after work activities
• Assist in the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards
• Review, approve, and validate security reports
• Keep the on-site management team informed and cooperate with clients to ensure clear and effective communication of events
• Maintain and enforce established security procedures
• Perform any other related duties as required by their immediate superior and/or the Contracting Party
• The duties listed above are not exhaustive and may vary based on operational needs and specific site characteristics

Qualifications for Team Lead Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• WSIB approved First aid certification 
• Eligible to obatin and maintain Reliability Security Clearance
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor 
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision making skills, with demonstrated leadership abilities
