As a Healthcare Tactical Guard, physical readiness is also vital. You will be actively moving throughout your shift while securing dynamic environments such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other medical settings.

Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard

• Conduct routine safety checks throughout the facility.

• Support medical staff during high-risk or disruptive situations.

• Escort patients, visitors, or valuables when required.

• Enforce hospital policies and safety protocols.

• Monitor entry points and crowd flow during busy periods.

• Maintain strong visibility to deter unwanted behavior.

• Provide clear, calm communication during emergencies.

• Assist in evacuations or lockdown procedures when necessary.

Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

• Valid provincial security guard licence required

• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset

• Strong situational awareness and observational skills

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for the entire shift

• Physically capable of responding quickly to incidents

• Effective communication with patients, staff, and emergency responders

• Comfortable working in high-stress, fast-paced medical environments

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends)

• Professional, calm, and respectful demeanor suitable for a healthcare setting
