As a Bank Security Guard, you’ll play an important role in protecting employees, customers, and the facility. You’ll monitor the premises, control access, conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and provide a professional security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities for Bank Security Guard

• Maintain a visible security presence while monitoring the bank premises for suspicious or unusual activity
• Respond quickly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and potential threats
• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the facility to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and the premises
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorization when required
• Monitor security systems, alarms, cameras, and other security equipment for potential issues or security concerns
• Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation
• Provide professional and courteous customer service while assisting employees and visitors with security-related inquiries
• Liaise with bank management, emergency services, and law enforcement when required
• Identify and report potential security risks, hazards, equipment issues, or vulnerabilities
• Perform other security-related duties as required

Qualifications for Bank Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license 
• First aid certification - an asset 
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
