As a Campus Security Guard, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors by conducting regular patrols, monitoring campus activities, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies. Working in a dynamic academic setting, you will provide a visible presence, interact with a diverse community, and use strong observation skills and sound judgment to prevent issues and ensure safety at all times.

Responsibilities for Campus Security Guard

• Patrol campus areas to identify and report suspicious activity
• Verify identification and control access to restricted areas
• Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, documenting actions taken
• Monitor alarms, CCTV systems, and conduct on-site checks as needed
• Coordinate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Provide assistance to students, staff, and visitors while enforcing campus policies

Qualifications for Campus Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• First aid certification is required ( Intermediate or OFA2)
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift 
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Responsive and strong problems solving skills
