As the face of the site, you'll be the first point of contact, delivering world-class customer service while leading by example in maintaining the highest standards of security. Responsibilities for Lead Concierge Security Guard
- Provide a professional and friendly front-of-house presence; assist employees and visitors; provide directions, building information, visitor support, and accessibility assistance.
- Act as a concierge for employees and executives, building relationships with regular interactions and day-to-day operations with teams.
- Manage VIP arrivals discreetly and efficiently; anticipate needs; maintain name recognition; uphold confidentiality.
- Conduct visible, proactive patrols; identify hazards (slips/trips, blocked exits, lighting issues); file corrective actions; identify and mitigate security risks.
- Lead Security Guards in day-to-day operations; help them uphold professional and timely responses to guests and employees.
- Support access control and visitor management processes; oversee badge use, turnstiles, and door alarms; spot-check tailgating; coach occupants on best practices.
- Build partnerships with front desk, facilities, IT, and P&C to work together on security concerns and risks.
- Assist with emergency drills and incident response as needed.
- Be the onsite point of contact for medical emergencies and first aid response.
- Report hazards, suspicious activity, and security breaches promptly.
- Communicate with Corporate Security immediately during incidents, providing full details and timely reporting of situations as they occur.
- Help de-escalate challenging situations that occur at the Front Desk, supporting the team as required.
- Triage requests (badges, meeting room guidance, wayfinding) and resolve or route to Facilities, IT, HR, or other departments as required.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting for incidents (medical, trespassing, challenging guests, or other incidents).
Qualifications for Lead Concierge Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC security license
- Intermdediate First Aid Certification (OFA2) - required
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
