Ready to suit up as a Corporate Security Guard

 

As an Office Security Guard, you'll be much more than a security presence. You'll help create a welcoming, professional, and secure environment for employees, clients, and visitors while serving as a key point of contact at the site. Through exceptional customer service and strong relationship-building skills, you'll contribute to a positive workplace experience every day.

In this role, you'll greet and assist visitors, manage access control, distribute packages and deliveries, conduct security patrols, and help ensure the site remains safe, secure, and well-maintained. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and approachable demeanor will play an important role in supporting both the client and the overall success of the workplace.

Responsibilities for Corporate Security Guard

  • Customer service duties like welcome, check identification, and guide visitors
  • Manage access control
  • Conduct foot patrols to identify potential risks
  • Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
  • Perform computer tasks
  • Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
  • Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
  • Answer questions in person or by phone

Qualifications for Corporate Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid BC security license
  • OFA 1 First Aid Certification (an asset)
  • Strong report writing and technology skills
  • Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
  • Physically able to drive, patrol, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Alert, detail-oriented, with strong situational awareness
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills 
  • Exceptional customer service skills
