As a Residential Security Guard, you will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors while maintaining the safety and security of the property. You'll conduct patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and help ensure residents feel secure in their homes. Whether you're assisting with resident inquiries, managing building access, or addressing security concerns, you'll play a key role in protecting people, property, and the community.

Responsibilities for Residential Security Guard
- Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
- Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
- Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
- Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
- Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
- Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
- Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
- Monitor and control access to the property : verify visitors, contractors, and deliveries
- Maintain detailed visitor and parcel logs
- Receive parcels and ensure secure handling and notification procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with residents and management
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment inside the security office
Qualifications for Residential Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Excellent ccustomer service and communication skills
- Hold a valid BC security license
- First aid certification - an asset
- Strong report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
