Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard
- Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility
- Escort individuals within the premises as necessary for safety
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress
- Observe and monitor behaviour and report concerns
- Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors
- Utilize security software and equipment effectively
- Conduct frequent wellness checks
- Generate accurate incident and daily reports
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques
Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard
- Valid BC Security Guard License
- RAIC / Transport Canada Security Clearance - an asset
- Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) – an asset
- Advanced Security Training (AST) – an asset
- Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
- High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
- Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
- At least 1 year of experience in a security role
- Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
