We are hiring a Training Coordinator for our Security Services branch in Vancouver, BC.

 

Reporting to the Regional Training Coordinator, you will support all administrative tasks including scheduling training activities, preparing site reports upon review, follow up and update training certifications, assist with hands on Use of Force Training and collaborate on new training programs for the employees in the lower mainland area.  With exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, the ideal candidate would work closely with our employees and the training team to ensure timely execution of training programs are met.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Prepare, manage, and coordinate all the scheduling activities for mandatory training programs and follow up to ensure the guards have completed the curriculum.
  • Use scheduling software to input client requirements and update employee schedules.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy of data input into the scheduling program and the training programs, ensuring that new or more accurate information is diligently input, and all input deadlines are met.
  • Support the Regional Training Coordinator with ad hoc assignments and projects
  • Review and collaborate on new training programs
  • Ability to develop officers who have a vested interest in advancement opportunities
  • Follow up to ensure that the training programs are complete for all security professionals and certification are distributed

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

 

 

  • Expert in Microsoft Office programs including MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Scheduling programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Out of the box thinker and a proactive nature
  • Experience in the security industry an asset
  • Ability to write training programs and desire to teach and educate those programs
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, as well as experience using scheduling software.
  • Ability to travel to various client sites (access to a vehicle ideal)
