As a Surveillance Security Guard at our construction site, you will play a vital and proactive role in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Acting as the eyes and ears of the operation, you will continuously monitor site activity, identify potential risks, and respond swiftly to prevent incidents before they escalate. Your vigilance will help protect valuable equipment, materials, and personnel while ensuring that site policies and safety standards are upheld at all times.

• Full-time opportunities with shifts from Monday to Friday. Two shift options: 17:00 to 00:00 or 00:00 to 07:00 (7-hour shifts)

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license 
• First aid certification - an asset
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
