As a Building Security Guard, there is a high focus on Scheduled Patrols, customer  Client relationship and exceptional customer service, since you will be working with people all shift, in an Office environment

Responsibilities for Building Security Guard

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas..
• Perform checks of mechanical and utility rooms during the shift.
• Monitor stairwells and common areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Conduct exterior checks of building entrances and parking areas.
• Maintain a presence at the security desk during designated hours.
• Access control at all entry and exit ways
• Report every incident and tenant complaint to the client
• Conduct general patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security
• Maintain a presence at the security desk during designated hour
• Respond to emergencies on a required basis
• Record readings from utility meters as needed.

Qualifications for Building Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Be able to take up temporary position ( Coverage)
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Comfortable with interacting with unauthorized individuals
• Good with technology-based systems
• There is no parking facility at the site
