As a Hospital Security Guard in a Hospital setting , physical ability  and ability to De- escalate situation is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling and de-escalate situations in a Hospital environment.

• No free site parking, accessiable by public transportation

• 24 hours of additional training required, to be completed during weekdays

Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard

• Respond to incidents and codes (aggressive visitors, medical emergencies, alarms) and guide guards during the response.
• Communicate with hospital staff such as nurses, unit clerks, and management.
• Complete reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, and daily activity.
• Conduct patrols and safety checks of entrances, parkades, and restricted areas.
• Provide training or coaching to new or struggling guards during the shift.
• Handle shift handover, briefing the next team about incidents or concerns.

Qualifications for Hospital Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification an asset is an assett or willing to obtain
• Use of Force is an assett or willing to obtain
• Ability to stand and walk entire shift
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
• Customer service oriented
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
