As a Hospital Security Guard Guard, there is a high focus on customer service, De-escalating Situations, Patrolling and Desk duties, since you will be working with people all shift in a Hospital environment.

Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard

• Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors
• Manage access control
• Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks
• Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
• Answer questions in person or by phone
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
• Required to work with a team of highly skilled Security Professionals
• Visit a patient – direct the person(s) to Patient Inquiry (Switchboard) to obtain the room number
• Diagnostic procedure (EKG, Holter Monitor, X-Ray, CT scan, Ultrasound) direct them to the Diagnostic Imaging department
• Post-surgical follow up, staple removal, Plastic Surgery clinic – to Orthopedic Clinic
• Direct anyone out of the building, who is not supposed to be there
• CCTV Monitoring
• Responding to Fire Alarm/Emergency Situations
• Respond to different codes
• Complete daily reports and incident reports
• Desk Duties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Hospital Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification an asset
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
• Fluent in English, both written and orally
• High school education or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent computer skills
