We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Guard to join our team in a hospital setting. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors by monitoring access points and responding to security concerns.

  • Permanent position: Monday-Saturday 2000-0000 (must be able to work all days)

Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles enter

  • Verify identification, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry/exit logs

  • Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or suspicious activity in accordance with protocols

  • Provide assistance and directions to staff and visitors while maintaining a professional presence

  • Conduct regular patrols of access points and report any incidents or concerns

Qualifications for Hospital Fire Watch Security Guard

Qualifications

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Valid Manitoba Security Guard License (as required by the province)

  • First Aid/CPR Certification required or considered an asset

  • Ability to work in a healthcare environment, following hospital policies and procedures

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting continuous patrols

Skills

  • Excellent observation and situational awareness during patrols

  • Ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures

  • Clear written communication skills for accurate logbook and incident reporting

  • Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and control room staff

  • Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations

  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and accountability

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent monitoring and patrols
