GardaWorld is the largest provider of aviation services for the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), offering screening services in 28 airports across Canada.
We are currently recruiting a Human Resources Advisor for theWinnipeg International Airport on a permanent full-time basis.
The successful candidate will carry out work on Human Resources programs and policies related to the Prairies Region Screening Operations.
Job Description
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Overseeing and implementing all aspects of onboarding new candidates including providing orientation sessions for new Screening Officers
• Working with Regional HR to manage documentation relating to WCB and Insurance claims
• Supporting back to work programs within division including LOA, WCB and accommodations
• Providing confidential professional consultation to employees
• Coach and provide guidance to management in areas such as investigation of complaints and concerns, problem solving, dispute resolution, and imposing discipline as required

Skills and Experience
Required
• Minimum 2 years as a HR Advisor or equivalent
• Experience in Occupational Health & Safety
• Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and execute tasks independently
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in written and oral English
• Proven ability to be highly organized in a fast paced and deadline oriented work environment
• Attention to detail combined with the creativity and resourcefulness to work in a heavily regulated industry
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Availability to travel
Assets
• Experience in unionized, federal and / or heavily regulated environment
• Experience in aviation, resources and / or security operations industries
• French fluency written & oral

Mandatory Requirements
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident as defined in the Immigration Act, with an employment authorization document
• Able to obtain a Transportation Security Clearance and Secret Security Clearance
• No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted
• 18 years of age or older
Additional Notes
• Internal candidates must be in good standing with no performance events on file
• Travel may be required for training. Other travel may be requested when assistance is required at other airports.
