As a Railway Station Security Guard , there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in a Rail environment.

Responsibilities for Railway Station Security Guard
- Greet and welcome passengers, verify their identity, and offer guidance as needed, both in person and over the phone.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols using the G-Track device to deter threats and ensure overall site security.
- Perform routine checks on all security equipment and report any maintenance or functionality issues promptly.
- Respond quickly to incidents, administer first aid when necessary, and coordinate with emergency response teams.
- Check all doors to ensure they are secure and not tampered with or jimmied to prevent unauthorized access.
- Document all incidents and observations in detailed reports and communicate any security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems for any suspicious activity or breaches.
- Act as a visible deterrent to vagrancy, vandalism, and loitering by maintaining high visibility, especially in vulnerable areas.
- Promote and uphold a secure and safe working environment for all staff, visitors, and clients.
- Carry out other related tasks as assigned to support the overall safety and operational goals of the site.
Qualifications for Railway Station Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Manitoba security license
- First aid certification an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
- Previous experience in the Security industry is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work Evening and Night shifts
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be available to Mandatory trainings
