Full-time permanent positions we are looking to fill
FT1: Monday to Thursday (0630-1530)
FT2: Monday to Friday (1530-2300)
Part-time permanent positions we are looking to fill
PT1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (0700-1500)
PT2: Saturday and Sunday (1500-2230)
What does a Security Guard in Winnipeg do?
- Maintain a safe and Secure environment
- Access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal.
- Performing Patrol ( Interior ) at the Premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
- Enforce Property regulations and city Bi- Laws on the client's site.
- Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault and other safety issues.
- Maintain good staff relationship.
- Being first contact for Emergency responders.
- Daily monitoring of CCTV.
- Documentation of systems.
- Respond to emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and security breaches.
- Handle access control systems.
- Work effectively as a team player.
- Provide excellent customer service, with strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Walk outside in any weather conditions to ensure the safety of employees.
- Prepare and submit daily reports and incident reports.
- Issue access cards.
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Winnipeg
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
- Valid Manitoba Security Guard license.
- Capable of prolonged standing, walking up and down stairs, and sitting.
- Demonstrate proficiency with technology.
- Must not be using personal phone for the complete shift
- Customer service oriented
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
