What does a Security Guard in Winnipeg do?
- Maintain a safe and Secure environment
- Enforce Property regulations and city Bi- Laws on the client's site.
- Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
- Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.
- Deter criminal activity. Guards may be expected to engage in visible deterrence through their presence and by adhering to security procedures. security presence

- Provide support to staff inside the premises to ensure the safety of employees and visitors.
- Assist employees with a secure walk to their vehicles when needed.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to maintain site security.
- Lock and unlock buildings as required, and investigate any incidents or hazards.
- Take appropriate action during emergencies following GardaWorld and USB protocols.
- Report and document all incidents in the daily logbook and activity reports.
- Ensure professional and courteous interactions with staff, visitors, and clients.
- Maintain a confident and customer-service-focused approach at all times.
- Perform routine environmental checks, including looking for water leaks, unusual noises, and other hazards.
- Remove snow during winter and promptly inform the client if any exits are blocked.
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Winnipeg ?
- Previous experience as Tactical Security Guard (asset)
- Good with Technology
- Valid Manitoba Security Guard license
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to de escalate issues related to Vagrants with Mental illness and Drug use
