As a Security Guard in a Culture and Art Industry setting, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of visitors, staff, and exhibits. We are looking for 1 Full-Time Security Guard to work at one of Canada's most significant cultural institutions in Winnipeg. As a security guard in this setting, you will have the opportunity to contribute to maintaining a safe and create a welcoming environment for all.

• Shift: 2 weeks rotation: Week 1- Sun 1430-2230, Tues & Wed 0630-1830, Sat 0630-1830
Week 2 -Sun 1430-2230, Mon, Thurs & Fri 0630-1830 (must be able to work all shifts)

What does a Security Guard in the Culture and Art Industry do?
• Maintain a visible presence to discourage unauthorized or illegal activities.
• Conduct interior patrols to ensure site safety and compliance with museum policies.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Manage crowds, ensuring they remain orderly and safe during events, and exhibitions.
• Respond effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches.
• Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras.
• Manage entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and granting authorized access.
• Be comfortable using security-related technology and systems.
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Culture and Art Industry
• Valid Permanent Manitoba Security Guard license
• Fluent in English and French, both written and orally
• Must be PR or Canadian citizen.
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent computer skills
