As a Security Guard in the Educational Sector, you will be entrusted with ensuring the safety of visitors, staff, and students. We are currently seeking three Security Guards to join our team and work with one of our major clients in Winnipeg.

Positions We Are Looking to Fill:

You must be available to work all shifts listed below.

• Position 1: Monday – Friday, 2330 – 0730
• Position 2: Monday – Friday, 1530 – 2330
• Position 3: Saturday and Sunday, 1530 – 2330
• Pay Rate: $16.50/hour

What Does a Security Guard in the Educational Industry Do?

• Assistance & Access Control: Help staff and visitors while managing access to restricted areas and resolving any access issues
• Surveillance Operations: Monitor and operate surveillance systems to detect, report, and log suspicious activities
• Patrolling & Reporting: Conduct patrols using a G-track device, secure the premises, and thoroughly investigate incidents or hazards with detailed reports
• Security Presence: Provide a visible and strong security presence throughout the premises
• Event Traffic Control: Manage event traffic and room access while ensuring compliance with event regulations
• Emergency Response: Respond to fire, medical, and security emergencies promptly
• Attention to Detail: Maintain strong observational skills to identify potential security concerns
• Security Technology: Use security technology and systems proficiently
• Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications to Become a Security Guard in the Educational Sector

• Security Guard License: Valid Permanent Manitoba Security Guard License is required
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills and familiarity with security systems
