We are seeking a Part-Time Security Guard to work with one of our biggest clients in Winnipeg. In this position, you’ll contribute to the security and well-being of healthcare workers for some of the largest brands in the industry!

What Does a Security Guard in the Transport Industry Do?
As a Patrol Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of the assigned site. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, monitoring for unusual activity, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible security presence.
Your efforts will contribute to a safe environment for staff, visitors, and property at the site.
- Site Patrols:
- Conduct regular vehicle patrols of the site to deter unauthorized activity and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Inspect access points, perimeters, and critical areas for safety concerns or signs of breach or vandalism.
- Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or reports of suspicious activity.
- Take appropriate action in accordance with site procedures, including documenting and reporting incidents to the supervisor and/or law enforcement as necessary.
- Access Control:
- Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter.
- Verify credentials
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, patrols, and incidents.
- Prepare written reports for any incidents or emergencies, ensuring timely and clear communication with site management and security supervisors.
- Customer Service:
- Provide assistance and directions to visitors and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Address inquiries and escalate any unresolved concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all site-specific safety and security protocols.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or other concerns during patrols.
- Other Duties:
- Support site events or special operations as directed.
- Stay updated on site policies and procedures, attending training sessions as required.
Qualifications to Become a Security Guard in the Transport Industry :
- Valid Permanent Manitoba Security Guard License
- Provide a clean Drivers Abstract
- Status, Canadian citizen or permanent resident (over 5 years)
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
- High School Education or equivalent
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Excellent Computer Skills for reporting and monitoring
